Watching Nate Jones skate never gets old
Daniel Evans just uploaded the newest video from the crew that made Bailgun, Skirdoosh, and Mall Grab. Switch Mongo is 42 minutes long but I’m sure you can find the time to check it out on this rainy ass day.
Riding season is finally here and I couldn’t be more excited. I feel giddy. Also, I saw that Shovelhead (w/ the Doberman on the tank) at Maryland Deathfest last year and damn is that a beautiful bike. I can’t wait for the day I get to cruise up the PCH on my bike… Goals and aspirations, I’ll get there eventually.

A Beginner’s Guide to Jason Nocito
Jason Nocito is an insanely talented and prolific photographer who, if you know anything about photography, you should already know about. He takes about a million cool photographs a day, and he needed some place to put them all, so he started a photoblog, LOADS Daily, on his website. Since he updates it all the time (some might say “daily”), there are a lot of weird and beautiful photos of neon puddles, dirty mops, and inadvertent faces to sift through. Since we know you’re so busy, Jason told us he would put together his favorites from this past month in a more easily digestible form. Consider it a beginner’s guide to the world of Jason Nocito. You’re welcome.
From my other tumblr…
When I was making Grays the Mountain Sends, I got pretty interested in mining towns across America. Picher, Oklahoma had a story that really stuck with me. This town has been so environmentally devastated by lead mining that nearly all of its residents have moved away, leaving behind a modern-day ghost town. (Read more here.) When Picher was getting press a few years ago I had intended to go there to take some pictures and maybe do a bigger project. But I never did. I’m glad didn’t because the work would have been measured against these fine photos by Jim Korpi, whose project on Picher can be viewed here.

You have to take seriously the notion that understanding the universe is your responsibility, because the only understanding of the universe that will be useful to you is your own understanding.
